Two volumes (complete). A robust, solid couple of books. Bound in three-quarters leather. The books are elderly and appear to have languished rather in storage. However, they are resolute and sound. The boards are much worn, marked, stained. They are steady. The leathered corners and spines are also much worn. The spines pleasingly fit. The leathered areas respond well to wax polish. 557 pages (complete). A placid copy. Full leather. 'St George's Grammar School' stamped in gilt. The leathered boards and gilt are worn, scuffed, marked all about. The spine too has some wear, scuffing. The boards and spine are strong and steady. The book was rebound by the school, consequently the end papers are more recent than the contents. The papertrims are gilded (benign). The frontispage has a school prize inscription (dated: 1861). The contents are mild-mannered, a little aged.
