Unie-Boekhandel (Edms) Bpk., Pretoria 1964 First Edition Softcover Good No Jacket Softcover
63 pages (complete). In Afrikaans throughout. A comfortably owned copy of this brave, extraordinary, short-lived Afrikaans literary journal. This edition includes poems and prose pieces by: Breyten [Breytenbach], Wopko Jensma, Ingrid Jonker, Jan Rabie, Barto Smit among many others. The covers are passive. They have handling, storage marks, tanning, wear and some creasing. They are secure and sure. The contents are mild. They are clean, clear, contented, very assured, bountiful. fk

3 Brink, Andr√© P Parys-Parys : Retoer
Human & Rousseau, Kaapstad, Pretoria 1969 First Edition Hardcover Good Fair Hardcover
163 pages (complete). In Afrikaans throughout. Ex-library (Port Elizabeth Public Library) copy with consequent labels, stamps, marks, annotations, use, wear. The dustjacket has a clear plastic protective cover, which has some light wear but is otherwise hardy and sound. The dustjacket itself has light shelving wear to the edges. There is scuffing and some creasing. It is otherwise moody, healthy. The boards are simple, mild-mannered, secure. The contents of this book - written by Brink on a return visit to Paris during the summer of '68 when revolution and rebellion filled the air - have evidence of use throughout. However, they are clean, clear, comfortable, occasionally foxed and flushed with tanning (from storage), generous of spirit, certain. fk
